PARLIAMENT The Education Ministry will provide special training on the School-Based Assessment (PBS) to make teachers fully understand the improved system.
Deputy Education Minister P Kamalanathan said the training was one of the measures in addition to the briefings given by the state education department, district education office, administrators and teachers.
“In an effort to ensure that the improved PBS can be effectively implemented and to address the concerns of all parties, the ministry has provided detailed briefings about the concept and its implementation.
“The ministry will also provide training to enable teachers to understand and practice the PBS concept in teaching and learning and upgrade the expertise of teachers in checking the answers,” he said in the Dewan Rakyat in Kuala Lumpur today.
Kamalanathan was replying to a question from Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (BN-Masjid Tanah ) who asked whether the government still want to implement the PBS and the ministry’s suggestions to address concerns of all parties in the system.
The briefing on the PBS system was held starting April.
