Good air quality has been recorded nationwide, with 10 areas having moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 7am today.

The 10 areas were Paka (93), Balok Baru, Kuantan (79), Kemaman (67), Nilai (57), Tanah Merah (51), Bakar Arang, Sungai Petani (52), SK Jalan Pegoh, Ipoh (51), Kangar (53), Petaling Jaya (52) and Batu Muda, Kuala Lumpur (51).

API readings: 0-50 - Good, 51-100 - Moderate, 101-200 - Unhealthy, 201-300 - Very Unhealthy, Over 301 - Hazardous.

The public can check the status of the API in their respective areas by visiting the Department of Environment (DOE) portal at http://apims.doe.gov.my .
