Police have arrested the former driver of Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's eldest daughter, Nurul Hidayah, to assist in investigation in connection to a burglary at her house in Country Heights, Kajang last Saturday.

Selangor deputy police Chief Abdul Rahim Jaafar said the 42-year-old man was arrested at his house in Seri Kembangan at 1am yesterday.

The man was believed to have trespassed into his former employer's house by using a house key that was given to him while he was still working for Nurul Hidayah.

"Initial investigations however indicated there was no forced entry during the incident," he told reporters after launching the Road Safety and Safe Driving programme at the Selangor police headquarters in Shah Alam today.

He said the man, who was placed under remand until tomorrow, was being investigated under section 281 of the Penal Code.

In the incident, the suspect was believed to have fled with two wrist watches and cash amounting to RM1,000.

In a separate incident, Abdul Rahim said a man, in his 40s, was found dead in the five-foot way near a pharmacy in Jalan Seapark, Petaling Jaya at 4.30am today.

He said the body of the man, believed to have tried to break into the office of a nearby legal firm, was sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for post-mortem.
