PKR wants IGP cited for contempt over PAA

Anonymous_3e21: What? There's no appeal filed and yet Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar went ahead to investigate and warn the rakyat to give a 10-day notice for an assembly? Wow, this is a serious crime because our second highest court decision has been thrown out into the rubbish bin by our very own top cop.

So, what's the need for the courts then? Better save money and let the IGP decide everything.

Peacemaker: In disregarding the decision of the Court of Appeal and insisting that a 10-day notice is still the law, the IGP has committed contempt of court, but surely the chief justice of Malaysia would not dare to have him arrested and jailed for the offence. They are all in the same boat, no?

Cogito Ergo Sum: You don't have to be a lawyer to know that despite an appeal, the law has been interpreted and established by a judgment of the Court of Appeal. The latest judgment stands as law.

We have this sycophant whose blind loyalty to BN makes him unfit for office. At least, be intelligent in your sycophancy... or is it psychosis? With you people, it's hard to tell madness and genius apart.

Mohican: IGP, in effect, you are the law which rightfully means you must endeavour to uphold the law to the fullest. Instead of that, you have exposed yourself as one who is willing to go against the grain of the Court of Appeal decision.

This is not only unlawful but is also embarrassing.

MfM: The IGP either has got kangkung for brains, or kangkung-brained legal advisers. How can he be so ignorant of what a court ruling is? Hope the court itself hauls him for contempt and sends him to the slammers for it.

The IGP should be subjected to the highest level of punishment under contempt proceedings for his statement, since he is the enforcer of the law and the decisions of the courts. He has no right to flout judgments made by the courts.

This man is a disgrace to the Malaysian police and all the police in the world.

Fair Play: Do we, the rakyat, honestly believe Khalid was made IGP because of his ability (intelligence and fairness) to maintain law and order in the spirit of the law?

Thinking Right: This nut of an IGP has on countless times been caught going against established laws, and is a liar who was undeservingly promoted to be the top cop, and is a useless one at that. This country is going to the dogs already.

StopMonkeying: The police force is above the law and it can do anything it pleases. This Bolehland is heading for lawlessness, if the right thinking Malaysians do nothing to correct the deteriorating situation.

Onyourtoes: I think a national police force for Malaysia is not a good idea. We should break up the national police force and put them under the respective state jurisdictions. The national police force as it exists today plays politics to the hilt and is a threat to democracy.

CQ Muar: The 'untouchables' in Bolehland consist of: former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad, former MAS chief Tajuddin Ramli, Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali, IGP Khalid Abu Bakar, and of course PM Najib Abdul Razak, to name just a few.

These greats are privileged and classified immune and above the law in a lawless country - the sure way to achieve a developed nation status come 2020! Whoever says otherwise would be labelled 'unconstitutional'.

Gen2indian: It's good for Padang Serai MP N Surendran to call for Khalid to be cited for contempt, but the IGP and AG are "big brother, little brother". If this complaint does get to the judiciary's attention, we all know where that will lead to, right?

Onyourtoes: Don't forget, even the judge of the Ipoh High Court should also be cited for contempt for refusing to follow the ruling of the Court of Appeal on the same matter.

ABC Tan: We have the worst IGP, the worst PM, the worst DPM, the worst minister of education, the worst minister for defence, the worst minister of finance, the worst minister for home affairs, the worst AG, and all this is happening at the same time.
