A DAP lawmaker has expressed concern over the "sincerity" of the party's ally, PAS, towards the people in its bid to push forward a Private Member’s Bill for hudud to be implemented in Kelantan.

DAP's Tanjung Bungah assemblyperson Teh Yee Cheu said PAS' propaganda during last year’s general election stated it wanted to establish a welfare state, not an Islamic state.
