Chinese are intruders who bully Malays, says Isma

Swipenter: After making the Chinese as second-class citizens, ultra Malay chauvinists like Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman and right-wing Malay NGOs like Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) then demonised them as ‘pendatang’ and now brand them as intruders.

           

Next, they might call for the seizure of assets belonging to the Chinese to be distributed to the "bullied ones" and start a programme of expelling them from Tanah Melayu, just like what the late Ugandan Idid Amin did to their citizens of Indian descent and Robert Mugabe did to the whites in Zimbabwe in 1970/80s, justifying their actions all in the name of correcting a past mistake in history.

 

Where is our PM, the great proponent of moderation for global consumption? Keeping his silence again?

 

Awakened: The statement by Isma's Abdullah Zaik showed how low the organisation can go by telling lies. The word "intruders" used to describe Chinese Malaysians is utter irresponsibility.

 

He conveniently forgets the history of our independence and the constitution drafted to safeguard the interest of all Malaysians.

 

The New Economic Policy (NEP) was formulated to favour the Malays in every aspect, despite the fact that 80 percent of the income taxes are paid by the Chinese.

 

For a person who claims to advocate hudud, Zaik forgot that he has committed the great sin of slander in accusing the Chinese of bullying the Malays.

 

Milosevic: The Malay rulers exhibited very little resistance to the British, had no sense of nationalism and collaborated actively with the British intruders. The rulers gained pomp and power in the process and enjoyed lifestyles unimaginable before colonialism.

 

The Chinese continue to be used as whipping boys to camouflage the simple fact that the lack of progress of the Malays is mainly due to the colossal corruption and ineptitude of their own leaders, who pretend to serve the cause of Malay unity and progress.

Isma's Abdullah Zaik wants to create a unity, however fake and temporary, by targeting the Chinese as obstacles to hudud and not the Constitution, which Isma wants to manipulate to serve its fascist politics.

 

Kubang: This country is badly in need of bold, upright, visionary, fair and competent leaders of every race, religion and creed, and who are not afraid to stand up to these communal bullies and fear-mongers.

It is very fortunate that the Chinese and other non-Muslims have restrained themselves from retaliating despite all the uncalled for bashing by these worthless NGOs.

Telestai!: Abdullah Zaik, I dare you to reveal your roots in Malaysia. My great grandfather left China in early 1900s and that makes me a fourth generation migrant.

 

My wife is a fifth generation migrant which makes my children at least fifth, if not sixth generation migrants. What generation migrant are you? How dare you call us ‘pendatang’ who came to Malaya to bully the Malays?

 

Judging from your name, I bet you are, at best, a second generation migrant from Indonesia.

 

Religion is an entirely different matter. We were fortunate to be given a choice and we chose not to be Muslims. Does that make me less bumiputera than you?
