YOURSAY ‘It is not what you eat that is unclean but what comes out of it.’

Don't turn into Singapore Malays, warns Nabi Bux

Basically: Independent candidate for Bukit Gelugor Mohamed Nabi Bux Mohd Nabi Abdul Sathar, you mean don't be hardworking, independent and resourceful like the Singapore Malays?

Malays do very well in Singapore on their own accord, and are educated, smart and successful.

I guess people like Nabi Bux don't want that precisely so the Malaysian Malays will keep clinging onto handouts, ensuring Umno's political relevance.

Dont Just Talk: Who are you to judge the Singapore Malays, Nabi Bux, when you are not God. Having a more colourful name does not make you a holy person because it is not what you eat that is unclean but what comes out of it.

As a Malaysian who travels to Singapore often, I can say that Singapore Malays are much better than you - they are not arrogant, they are polite and moderate in their thinking.

They allow other religions to use the word ‘Allah’ and do not treat it as an intellectual property right which can be privately owned.

Penang voters should reject small-minded, illiterate wolves like you who are dressed in sheep’s clothing.

Chee Hoe Siew: What kind of Malay does Nabi Bux want the people to be? The BN Malays? The highly corrupted, good for nothing, couldn’t care less for the country and more for themselves? Seriously, I work in Singapore and I respect the Malays in Singapore.

They are self-supporting without laws helping them to discriminate over other races and religions. I mean the Malays in Singapore can afford cars bigger than mine, not because of the environment favouring them, but they really work for it.

If the Malays in Malaysia are not to look at Singapore's Malays as a good example, I don't know where else? Maybe Indonesia?

Mosquitobrain: Some people need three hard bangs to knock sense into their head. Nabi Bux is one of them.

Shathriyan: The Bukit Gelugor by-election is an opportunity for those opposing the implementation of hudud. The late Karpal Singh was dead against it. But, this BN imposter claims that he is contesting to get hudud implemented in Penang.

Make him lose his deposit to send a strong message to PAS and all others clamouring for hudud that we don't want it.

Proarte: Nabi Bux should not be criticised. Let people have choices. Remember 'People are the boss'. Politicians represent the people and not the converse. The problem with Pakatan Rakyat supporters is that they do not understand democracy.

PAS is downplaying hudud for election purposes in a majority Chinese area. They do not want to see hudud ignominiously spurned by the electorate.

For PAS, 'hudud' is a political weapon against Umno and a bargaining chip within Pakatan. PAS stabbed Pakatan and the rakyat in the back by collaborating with Umno to implement hudud. This is expressly against the opposition coalition’s 'common manifesto'.

But sadly there is a conspiracy of silence within Pakatan on this point which should in reality make PAS' position within Pakatan untenable. Pakatan, like BN, have grubby politicians who are purely after votes for their own individual interests.

Nabi Bux should be lauded for bringing up the hudud issue as its outright rejection by the Malays would be vital in building momentum against hudud.

Well Thats Fantastic: Nabi Bux, if you want clean car parks and roads cleared of people double parking, then you need to pay for parking.

I guess the alternative is to be more strict with summonses and towing that could make even more money.

Also, if PAS leaders have said they don't want you, why are you displaying their colours? Trying to win through confusion? Sounds very BN.

Versey: Nabi Bux is spewing nonsense. The Singapore Malays are earning much more than the "working" Malays in Malaysia and they certainly don't have to "learn" to be satisfied with getting kangkung on their dinner table.

Most importantly, nobody will doubt their abilities in whatever professions they are in because everyone knows that they have earned it and are equally qualified for the job like everybody else.

If the Malays are like the Singapore Malays, rogue politicians such as Nabi Bux would have to pack their bags and learn to work for their living.

Fair Play: Nabi Bux said, “I promise not to let any discrimination happen to Muslims and non-Muslims.” But how much are his words worth? Nothing, because he is also nothing.

Survivor: I always respect the Malays, especially the non-Umno Baru Malays. Looking at them bracing themselves against water cannon and police batons make me respect them even more, especially the younger ones who would like to see an advanced and progressive Malaysia.

The so-called "Malaysia a rich nation by 2020" rhetoric by Umno Baru regime is actually a washout.

With the ‘celup’ self-professed Malays in this Bolehland replacing the real good hardworking Malays, we only see a bleak future with everyone including the non-Malays being dragged down by them.

KKCheong: Nabi Bux is trying to make Penangites hate PAS. This is the only reason he is contesting.

GodBless: Malaysia accepts Singapore Malays with open arms by granting them citizenship easily. However, I only see elderly and retired Malays moving north to take advantage of the lower cost of living but not the younger generations.

If Malaysia is that good for them, we should see Singapore Malays immigrating en masse, but it has not happened even after decades of separation. Why?

Anonnona: He talks like Umno, he acts like Umno, he looks like Umno, but claims that he is PAS. Can you trust such a person?
