Klawang state assemblyperson Yunus Rahmat was injured after he accidently fell into a drain in Ampangan in Seremban yesterday.

Yunus, who was said to have stopped over at a barber's shop in the area during the 6.45pm incident, sustained a broken rib.

Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Committee chairperson Jalaluddin Alias said he had been admitted to the KPJ Seremban specialist hospital for treatment.

"Yunus' condition is stable and needs follow-up treatment. Doctors said he needs to have plenty of rest," he told Bernama in Seremban today.
