Early voting for Bukit Gelugor polls tomorrow

He said the centres - Region One marine operations headquarters’ Kemas kindergarten in Batu Uban, Air Hitam police station information room, Bandar Baharu police station information room and KD Sri Pinang navy headquarters in Gelugor - would open starting from 8am until 2pm.
“Some 100 police and 48 military personnel together with their families will have early voting tomorrow,” he said when contacted by Bernama in George Town today.
He said all the military personnel and their families would vote in the KD Sri Pinang navy headquarters while four police personnel would vote in the Region One marine operations headquarters’ Kemas kindergarten, another 55 in Air Hitam police station and 41 in Bandar Baharu police station.
Azizal said all preparations for the voting process were running smoothly, including indelible ink that would be used for tomorrow and polling day on May 25.
“We have received the indelible ink since last May 13, which is being kept in a very safe place,” he said.
He said the campaigning process for the candidates was also running smoothly with no untoward incident reported so far.
The by-election will see a four-cornered fight between Ramkarpal Singh Deo from DAP, Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) vice president Huan Cheng Guan and two independents, Abu Backer Sidek Mohamad Zan and Mohamed Nabi Bux Mohd Nabi Abdul Sathar.
