Quill Motorcars Sdn Bhd, the distributor of Rolls-Royce cars in Kuala Lumpur, sees Malaysia as a great market for luxury cars.

Its general manager Siow Ser Gun said Malaysia’s economy was doing well, hence making it possible for more people to buy luxury items.

Siow said this at the unveiling of the first Rolls-Royce Wraith model in Sabah and Sarawak in Kota Kinabalu today.

Gregory Baker, after-sales manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Asia Pacific, said the company achieved a successful record in the sales of Rolls-Royce in Malaysia last year, with a robust demand from Sabah and Sarawak.

“I’m very glad to see that our customers in Sabah and Sarawak will be well-taken care of by Quill Motorcars, which is exceptionally qualified to service our cars to the highest standards,” Baker said.

He said the company remained one of the most successful manufacturers in its segment for ultra-luxury cars costing above 200,000 euros (nett).

The two-door fastback Wraith model is considered the most powerful Rolls-Royce model ever built, with a V12 twin-turbo engine.

The model’s sophisticated eight-speed gearbox provides effortless acceleration from 0-100kph in 4.6 seconds, Baker added.
