There will be no reshuffle within the Terengganu state executive council for the time being, said newly-appointed Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman.

He said there was no necessity for a reshuffle of the state executive council as it was functioning well.

“If changes needed to be done, perhaps additional portfolios will be given to other executive councillors,” he told reporters in Kuala Terengganu yesterday after chairing his first state executive council meeting after being appointed menteri besar on May 12.

Ahmad Razif said he would retain his previous portfolios as state Science and Technology, Energy, Green Technology and Water Committee chairperson.

In addition, he would take over the chairpersonship of various committees from his predecessor, Ahmad Said, namely the Planning Committee; Finance and Investment Committee; Land Committee; Petroleum, Natural Resources and Environment Committee; and Local Government and Housing Committee.
