Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir has been told to take his eyes off DAP Teluk Intan candidate Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud's dressing.

It is totally "unbefitting" of Mukhriz to take cheap shots at Dyana's campaign posters, as if there is nothing else to focus on, PKR Alor Setar MP Gooi Hsiao Leung said today.

"Of course, we know he wasn’t really suffering from any delirious confusion - he was being sarcastic," Gooi told Malaysiakini .

"He was insinuating that Dyana is unreliable and cannot be trusted because she is, in some posters, spotted wearing a tudung, and in others, she is not," Gooi said.

"It is utterly shameful that the MB would resort to making such frivolous statements on Dyana’s clothing during the election campaign.

"It is as though there is no other more important national issue facing the country to talk to the voters of Teluk Intan about," he added.

Mukhriz was quoted in Umno Online yesterday as saying that Dyana's different looks gave rise to the question of "which is the real DAP candidate?"

"I see many posters... The photos are different. There are those with her wearing a tudung (headscarf), there are those with her dressed in a corporate outfit and also those with her wearing a baju kurung,” Mukhriz said.

Gooi ( right ) also said Mukhriz's "most glaring confusion" was in comparing the BN with the differences among the three Pakatan Rakyat member parties.

Mukhriz had said the three Pakatan parties do not agree on many things and have conflicting stands.

"But what Mukhriz missed out in his state of confusion is the fact that unlike BN, the DAP, PKR and PAS are equal partners and decisions taken by Pakatan are agreed upon by all," Gooi said.

"On the other hand, there is only one dominant party rule in the BN - that of Umno - with Umno calling the shots and the rest of the component parties towing its line," he added.

He said this in reference to Mukhriz's remark in the same report that the BN formula was "unique and successful" in protecting the interests of all races in the country.
