Former PKR information chief Ruslan Kassim has challenged Anwar Ibrahim and the Pakatan Rakyat leadership to participate in the hunt for MH370.

He called on them to join the open tender from the Australian Transport Safety Board (ATSB).

Speaking to Umno Online , Ruslan said before this, Anwar and his Pakatan allies have been vocal about the matter.

"Anwar talked big in an interview with Southern Weekly magazine, where he said he only needed 'one second' to solve all the problems.

"Not only that, Anwar also said he would find the plane in 'one minute'," he added.

However, the opposition leader later claimed that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had manipulated his statement.

Similarly, Ruslan said DAP MP Lim Lip Eng had also boasted that if his party leaders were in charge of the navy and air force, they would have found the plane.

"So now I challenge the two individuals who talked big to put in a tender. Find whatever way to join the open tender.

"Don't just shoot your mouths off. If they are indeed so great, then they should accept my challenge," he added.

If Anwar lacked the courage to participate in the open tender, Ruslan said it would only prove that the opposition leader and DAP cannot walk the talk.

"They should accept my challenge. I am confident that Anwar will solve the problems in one second, and find the plane in one minute.

"Wouldn't this be good for the people and country? Wouldn’t the whole world recognise their efforts? This is a great publicity opportunity...," he added.

On Wednesday, ATSB  issued an open tender for conducting an intensified deep-water search of the missing Malaysia Airlines flight beginning August this year.

The bureau in a statement said the specialist company would engage as a prime contractor under ATSB’s direction for the search which is expected to take up to 12 months depending on weather conditions.

Yesterday, Anwar had complained that the local media did not give him "one minute" of airtime regarding MH370, except when linking him to the pilot, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah.
