Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem does not discount the possibility that the state assembly may be dissolved before the June 2016 deadline.
"When is the state assembly will be dissolved, that is a secret.
"Nothng is impossible and I will not discount any possibility of an early election," he was quoted as saying in a Berita Harian report today.
Adenan ( right ) had in February taken over as chief minister from Taib Mahmud who had served for 33 years.
The next Sarawak polls will be Adenan's maiden attempt at seeking a mandate for his leadership.
In the meantime, he said he wanted to resolve the political conflict in Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP) and Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) which has resulted in the creation of splinter Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras).
"As Sarawak BN chief, I cannot ignore this problem.
"This is something that I must pay attention to as it concerns the future of Sarawak BN as well as the rakyat's interest," he said.
