Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has said that he does not know of any reshuffle in his cabinet as speculated by the media.

"I'm not aware," he said when asked by journalists on a report in a daily on the possibility of a cabinet reshuffle to be made on Friday.

Najib said this at a news conference before departing for Kuala Lumpur from Ashgabat International Airport on Tuesday night following his second official visit to Turkmenistan.

He was accompanied by his wife, Rosmah Mansor, during the two-day visit.

The Malay Mail , quoting sources, said Najib was considering a major overhaul of his administrative line-up instead of just bringing in MCA president Liow Tiong Lai and his Gerakan counterpart Mah Siew Keong ( right ).

The new line-up could be announced as early as Friday and latest after Hari Raya, which is expected to fall on July 28.
