After launching a series of attacks on DAP, Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) is now training its guns on Anwar Ibrahim.

Isma president Abullah Zaik Abd Rahman took the opposition leader to task today for condemning the actions of state Islamic authorities for gatecrashing a Hindu wedding and a Chinese funeral.

Anwar had accused the Selangor and Penang Islamic departments of being " arrogant with power " and not respecting the rights of those who profess other faiths.

However, Abdullah said it is the struggle for religious "liberalism and pluralism", which ignores Islamic beliefs and tenets, that is arrogant.

"Anwar says the Islamic departments are arrogant towards non-Muslims.

"But for Isma, rejecting Islam and laws of God as well as glorifying liberalism are what we consider to be arrogant," he added in Ismaweb.

However, Abdullah did not say anything about a question Anwar posed to Isma at the same press conference during which Anwar criticised the Islamic authorities.

The opposition leader had asked why Isma has not made noise on the criticism of the Johor Housing and Real Property Bill 2014 by Umno and its mouthpiece, Utusan Malaysia .
