YOURSAY 'Show us your strengths. Can you act on the IGP, for a start?'

You give me strength, Najib tells rakyat

Hearty Malaysian: Najib is a minority prime minister talking about strengths but have weak leadership in dealing with issues that burns the country?

We have the inspector-general of police refusing to defend federal constitution, the Selangor Islamic Affairs Council who refuses to heed your advise, an the minister in the prime minister’s department declaring this country an Islamic country according to his personal opinion.

Your deputy too talks rubbish on education standards and the child religious conversion by one parent. Again Auditor General’s Report points to blatant corruption and abuse of government fund.

What have you done for the last five years plus? How you can utilise your strengths when you have habitual elegant silence when there are controversies that split the country and you are so busy travelling overseas instead of attending the Parliament sittings?

Show us your strengths. Can you act on the IGP, for a start?

Chitra-ngada: It is very obvious that this PM is in the Land of Wishful Thinking from his statement: "The prime minister said he could not administer the country if the people did not work together to maintain good relations with the various communities."

Dear PM, you couldn't administer your very tame pet cats, what more a whole country. You are definitely not all there if you think that wedding crashing, Bible-confiscating and body-snatching are iconic of good relations between the various communities.

"Your support has given me the strength to lead the country". Hmmm. Lead the country by being elegantly silent on every major issue and very chatty about trite issues.

Bash:  PM, you should find the strength and commitment to the job from within yourself to provide leadership to the country. There are many governments in the world that also enjoy a low vote majority, but that does not give them the reason to not fulfil.

As a PM a lot of power is vested in your position, so no excuse, unless you have to many skeletons in the cupboard for your enemies to dig into.

Your opinions and convictions on issues when voiced in a timely manner will curb the many runaway fighting as seen nowadays. Please do your bit if you feel you are destined to lead.

Anwar: Extreme bigotry in M'sia, so insane

Apa Nama: Anwar Ibrahim, thank God you got well after your recent checkup. Together with DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang (hope he is also well and came back), please take some action on these never-ending bigotries.

Issuing a statement like this is fine. We knew this is insane, at the worst case scenario. But what is Pakatan doing?

You, too, should be aware that these games is being played only in Penang and Selangor from day one in order to snatch back these two states by hook and crook.

Actually, these games are two-pronged or double-edged sword games whereby these will serve as snatching back the states as well as diverting the public attention from actual issues such as cost of living, goods and services tax, corruption etc.

For me, it looks like they are almost successful in Selangor. Now the Selangorians started to voice that Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim should be removed. Khalid also seems to fall in so many traps set by UMNO Baru. But in Penang, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is strong enough to counter that so far since he had a good team of multiracial who are standing behind him

Abasir: Anwar should stop telling Malaysians what they already know about the prevailing insanity. Instead, he and the Malays in Pakatan Rakyat should come out in public to condemn the barbarians and the bigots some of whom he knows by their first names.

And while he counts the political dividends in making more motherhood statements, he should not declare his knowledge of "... history and Islamic history (in which he) never found examples of such intolerance in Muslim societies." Such declarations simply serve to expose his selective recall of history.

Odin You mentioned body snatching at a Chinese funeral and bride snatching at a Hindu wedding. Obviously, you have no bollocks to mention the case of the appropriated copies of the Holy Bible. Sorry to be blunt, but you are no leader material. As well, you are spent. It's best that you ride off into the sunset.

Proarte: The arch fraud Anwar trying to be the voice of reason in the morass of Malay Muslim prejudice inculcated by Umno but tacitly abetted by PAS and Anwar through their duplicity and cowardly silence over atrocities against non-Muslims, which have been going on for years.

Too little too late Anwar, your nice soothing words mean nothing when there is nothing concrete which you have to offer. What is your position Anwar on whether we are a secular state with Islam as the religion of the federation for ceremonial purposes or do you believe we are an Islamic State or should aim to be an Islamic state?

It is an indictment of your leadership that Pakatan is still at loggerheads over this basic issue which is clearly spelt out in the Constitution and which has been ratified by the Supreme Court in 1988.

This is your problem and which explains why you are a failed leader - it is your moral cowardice and duplicity.

You praised chief justice Fairuz in his scandalous judgement denying Lina Joy her constitutional right to declare herself Christian. Clearly you do not believe in freedom of worship and see the state Islamic authorities as having the right to force religion on people.

So why should we believe you when you like a Johnny Come Lately tell us that body snatching, disrupting marriage ceremonies and confiscating Bibles is not appropriate. We want categorical pronouncements and not equivocal claptrap from your forked tongue.

The Allah controversy has raged on for five years now but you haven't bothered to go to the Catholic Church expressing solidarity with their right to freedom of worship and non-interference by Muslim authorities.

If you were a true Muslim and not a duplicitous and self serving politician, you would have openly said that the Quran explicitly states that Jews, Christians and Muslims worship the same God Allah, but you choose to keep wickedly silent on this thus tacitly giving legitimacy to the persecution of Christians over the Allah scam.

Instead you de rigueur play the 'pious imam' in your speeches to the Muslim crowd peppering them with Arabic quotes from the Quran, which nobody understands. It is similar to the actions of a scoundrel who uses patriotism, but you instead use Islam .

NuckinFuts:

What's more insane is our PM is keeping silent... good on you, Anwar for speaking out.
