Zaik: Isma called racist for defending Islam                        

 

Dont Just Talk: Isma president Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman, who are you defending Islam from and in Malaysia, which religious group dares to challenge Islam?

 

Instead, we have Muslim journalists impersonating as Catholics, attending Sunday mass, receiving the Holy Eucharist, spitting it out and publicly mocking it. We have Perkasa threatening to burn the Holy Bible and the group’s former vice-president making fun of the Hinduism.

 

Can you please elaborate which religious group in Malaysia dares to belittle your religion when it is the other way around?

 

It looks like Isma has taken over the role from Perkasa, which is used to talking without filtering their words through their brains.

 

Smer: Defending Islam from what? From ghosts you yourself manufacture, blaming the non-Malays for non-existent attacks?

 

PAS national unity bureau chairperson Mujahid Yusof Rawa is 100 percent correct in saying Isma is masking racism with religion.

 

Lim Chong Leong : Isma, defending Islam is okay, but being obnoxious to other races and religions in the name of Islam is racist and bigoted, and you deserve to be labelled a racist.

 

RZC: Abdullah Zaik, you can't get it, can you? Or maybe you can but purposely pretend not to get it. That's worse as you are then a dishonest man.

 

Protecting Islam cannot be done at the cost of and against all other religions, because what you are then advocating is to get rid of all non-Muslims.

 

Religion is personal to the holder. You are definitely a racist and a bigot by your statements, views and actions, and yes, please explain who you are defending Islam from? Where and what is the threat?

You can either give Him the glory that is due to Him or you can make mockery out of Him - you decide.

Abasir: Isma, is 'defending' Islam a full-time job, or is it something you do only when there is absolutely nothing else in your schedule?

 

If it is a full-time job, can we scope and grade the job, create a pay scale with attractive career prospects for budding defenders?

 

Maybe the National Defense University under the wise leadership of (Ridhuan) Tee (Abdullah) can draw up an original curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in Islamic Defense?

 

BTN: Islam does not need any protection from people of other faiths, but Islam needs protection from people like Abdullah Zaik whose life has no meaning and real purpose, and so to make his life meaningful, he misuses Islam.

 

People like him are the enemy of Islam who are damaging the religion whom the great Prophet Muhammad has taught.

 

Boonpou: Abdullah Zaik, it is within the context of institutionalised racism and religious bigotry that allows an organisation like Isma and others, including characters like yourself, to exist.

 

Your idea of defending Islam is of an extremist kind, not much different from the Taliban, and it is most definitely not the proper, fair, and humane Islam that is bestowed upon the Muslim world by your prophet and your ..... (sorry, I can't spell our the word of your God in Malaysia).

 

Fair&Just : Oh yes, this is masking racism with religion. Sometimes in a moment of excitement or euphoria the mask can slip and lo and behold, revealed to all and sundry the real face of fascism.

 

Such as where a member of this fascist government sudden rejoicing Germany's football win with his idol Adolf Hitler has proven.

 

Imanust Nais Yalam: PAS is also defending Islam, the right way. Mujahid shows why I, a non-Muslim, will never regret holding up a PAS flag during GE13.

 

ACR: Though Mujahid has laid bare the insidious modus operandi of Isma, Umno has succeeded in establishing the perception that Malays and Islam are under threat. They use cancerous groups like Perkasa and Isma to further that agenda.

 

The problem lies in Pakatan Rakyat Malay leaders being too laid back - the top leaders of PKR and PAS never challenge Umno's nonsense and PAS chief Abdul Hadi Awang is almost never heard speaking out, unlike when Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat was helming PAS.

 

DAP leaders Lim Guan Eng and Lim Kit Siang are vociferous but look what that has brought us - a Malay versus non-Malay conundrum, and all for Umno's benefit.

 

Ratbatblue: Abdullah Zaik, I don't know why Malaysiakini gives you so much space to air your warped ideas. In fact, you can rightly claim to beat the PM of this country in this respect.

 

Let me say this one last time - you are nothing but an out and out racist using religion to further your agenda. There is absolutely no threat to Islam in this country at all.

 

You are using non-Muslims as whipping boys to propagate your racist actions since you cannot find any other way/reason to get at them except using the time-tested trick of frightening normal Muslims (in this country, all Malays are Muslims by birth) that "outsiders" i.e. mainly non-Muslims (read as non-Malays) are attacking the religion.

 

You and Isma are the hired hands being supported by higher-ups to do the dirty job for their benefit. And who are these "higher ups"? You know who they are. No religion needs the help of mortals to defend its greatness.

 

Apa Ini?: The problem is that for Abdullah Zaik and Isma, there is just one viewpoint of Islam. It's a common enough problem in all the inflamed failed states of the Islamic world.

 

We don't want to be the next in line to fail because some individuals like Abdullah Zaik insists on their one viewpoint and labels every other viewpoint as liberal and deviant.

 

Any Malay who chooses other viewpoints has become a target and victim of these extremists’ bigotry. Stop pushing fear - the Quran preaches love and tolerance.
