PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's comments on the Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim’s shortcomings is akin to commenting on his own weaknesses, said Perkasa information chief Ruslan Kassim.

The former PKR information chief pointed out that the party is facing its own internal crisis, and that Anwar also serves as an economic advisor to Khalid’s administration.

"Perhaps Anwar does realise that he too is caught in the conflict and crisis in his own party today.

"Does he feel that he is still better than others, whereas not only the rakyat but even his own party members see him as a failed leader?" the Umno Online quoted Ruslan ( left ) as saying today.

On Saturday, Anwar had said that Khalid's status is being discussed, but there is no rush to remove him from office.

"I have always taken the position that he (Abdul Khalid) has done a reasonably good job in terms of financial management and other issues.

"But sometimes we need to build consensus and move on," he told reporters, while also alluding to criticisms that Selangor NGOs have levelled against Khalid.

Meanwhile, the Universiti Malaya Muslim Students Association (PMIUM) urged Pakatan Rakyat to resolve the internal conflict, which it said is becoming prominent and has overshadowed news coverage of the people’s issues, such as water and poverty.

In a statement today, the group also urged the coalition to be professional in dealing with problems and show a good example to the people.

"With this, PMIUM expresses its regret towards the attitude of Pakatan Rakyat supporters who fight amongst themselves endlessly after being given the people’s trust to rule Selangor for the past six years,” said the group's president Khairol Najib Hashim.
