The Kota Tinggi Magistrate's Court has extended the remand for Estonian model Regina Soosalu's boyfriend Tunku Alang Reza Tunku Ibrahim for a third time.

Tunku Alang, a royal family relative, was produced in court wearing the orange lock-up uniform, The Star reported.

He will be in remand until July 27, along with four other suspects also being investigated for the murder of Soosalu on Pulau Rawa.

The 30-year-old Soosalu was found dead, with suspicious wounds, while on vacation in Pulau Rawa on July 1.

In total, six suspects have been detained so far, including a 35-year old man who was picked up by police in Mersing on Monday, the newspaper said.

"Two are being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," The Star said.

Meanwhile, it was still unclear what will happen to Soosalu's body.

The paper said a foreign airline quoted RM120,000 to fly her home to Estonia. This was too expensive for her family and they decided that she should be cremated in Malaysia.

"However, the family of her boyfriend reportedly agreed to bear the expenses to take her remains back to Estonia," it reported.

According to Soosalu's Facebook page, she and Tunku Alang Reza have been in a relationship since July 3, 2012.

The Star had previously reported that both Soosalu and Tunku Alang Reza had been charged with drug possession and pleaded not guilty.
