Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim is no longer a "world class leader" but a lone ranger judging from Selangor Menteri Besar crisis, MCA Wanita vice chairperson Ong Chong Swen said today.

 

Ong, who is also Selangor Wanita MCA leader, pointed out that one of Anwar's most trusted lieutenants Azmin Ali, has been conspicuous with his silence while Anwar is busy handling "PAS all by himself".

 

PAS' top leaders have thrown their weight behind embattled Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim even though PKR has nominated Anwar's wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the new MB.

 

"This clearly shows the imminent cracks caused by their internal coalition strife.

 

"Anwar, as the primary instigator of the 'Kajang Move', the PKR-proclaimed 'world-class leader' is now a lone ranger," Ong said in a statement.

 

She also said that despite the troubles plaguing PKR internally, DAP and PAS, their coalition partners are busy "with their personal agendas".

 

"How long more will Pakatan persist in their internal frictions before coming to their senses to address problems plaguing the state?" she asked.

 

She also criticised the online spat between PKR lawyer Latheefa Koya ( right ) and the MB's press secretary Arfa'eza Abdul Aziz.

 

"It is ridiculous for political figures to continue engaging in silly statements and name calling," she said.

 

Making most of the MH14 disaster, Ong mused Pakatan has not been able to offer any help over the crisis because it is too focused on the crisis in Selangor.

 

"While Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is leaving soon to continue working on resolving MH17 matters, Pakatan has not been able to offer any form of help.

 

"On the contrary, Pakatan is being too embroiled with creating problems in Selangor be it within party level or even in state administration," she said with apparent glee.
