Air quality unhealthy in two areas in Sarawak
Two areas in the country had air quality at an unhealthy level as at noon today, according to the Department of Environment (DOE).

The DOE portal identified these places as Sibu and Sri Aman in Sarawak. The Air Pollutant Index (API) for Sibu was 135 and Sri Aman, 101, at noon.
Nineteen other places had air quality at the moderate level, among them Tanjung Malim (55) in Perak and Port Klang (80) and Petaling Jaya (63) in Selangor.
An API reading of between zero and 50 indicates good air quality; between 51 and 100, moderate; between 101 and 200, unhealthy; between 201 and 300, very unhealthy and over 301, hazardous.
Members of the public can refer to the DOE portal to find out the API reading for their areas.
