Traffic is mounting in several areas on the North-South Expressway and is reported slow-moving as at noon today.

A spokesperson at the Traffic Control Centre of the Plus Expressways Sdn Bhd said the traffic flow at Seberang Jaya heading to Perai, Changkat Jering to Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Perak heading to the Menora Tunnel was reported slow due to the increase in the number of vehicles returning to the federal capital.

“Meanwhile, at Gopeng heading to Tapah at Gua Tempurung, Bidor heading to Sungkai and from the direction of Sungai Buloh to Bukit Lanjang, traffic is also reported to be slow-moving,” he told Bernama .

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Malaysian Highway Authority said the traffic flow along the Karak Expressway heading to the east coast was smooth.
