DAP should apologise for riding on its Islamic partner's 'PAS for all' slogan and urging non-Muslims to back the party, says Gerakan Youth chief Tan Keng Liang.

Tan ( left ) said this was in light of PAS central committee member Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki's leaked Whatsapp message where he presented a scenario of PAS forming an alliance with Umno at the expense of non-Malays and non-Muslims in Selangor.

"In view of the disclosure of the contents in the leaked WhatsApp group between PAS central committee members, it’s clear that PAS is not really a party for all.

"It’s a party that aims for Malay Muslim supremacy at the expense of non-Muslims in our country.

"DAP must apologise for promoting the faux ‘PAS For All’ slogan in the past two general elections," he said in a statement today.

Tan alleged that many non-Muslim voters who voted for PAS only did so after being persuaded to by DAP.

In his messages Mohd Zuhdi said a Umno-PAS alliance could form a simple majority state government and can "swat away" (jentik) non-Muslims complaints about religious freedom and also suggested gerrymandering to favour Malay and Muslim power.

Following the leak, DAP organising secretary Anthony Loke urged PAS to work in restoring confidence in the Islamic party.

Its PKR partner has been more critical, describing the remarks as a betrayal and called for action against Mohd Zuhdi.
