Former Jerteh rep Abdul Majid Ahmad dies of old age
Former Jerteh assemblyperson Abdul Majid Ahmad died today due to old age at Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Hospital in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
Former Jerteh assemblyperson Abdul Majid Ahmad died today due to old age at Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Hospital in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
He breathed last at about 2am at the age of 76 with wife, Zuraidah Hussin, 58, by his side.
Abdul Majid served as Jerteh assemblyperson for one term, from 1986 to 1990.
His eldest son, Mohd Razif Abdul Majid, who confirmed the death, said his father’s body was brought home to Kampung Padang Luas, Jerteh, for prayers at 11am and then buried at the village cemetery.
Abdul Majid was a headmaster at Sekolah Kebangsaan Tengku Mahmud in Alur Lintang, Besut, prior to him being fielded as a Barisan Nasional candidate in the 1986 general election.
