Pro-Wan Azizah PAS duo the real heroes
YOURSAY 'Those who do not support these two are better off with Umno.'
Terengganu PAS moots expulsion of 2 S'gor reps
Ng Kam Loon: I reckon the two PAS assemblypersons in Selangor - Saari Sungib (Hulu Kelang) and Hasnul Baharuddin (Morib) - were doing the right thing by supporting Pakatan Rakyat. Others in PAS who do not support these two are better off with Umno.
Sanusi Ngah: Terengganu PAS is being stupid and obstinate. The two reps are the real heroes, and they should be welcomed by DAP and PKR. In fact, all the moderates and professionals in PAS should consider leaving the Islamic party as well.
It's a waste of your credibility, talent and commitment to the rakyat to remain in PAS after the 'sandiwara' by the PAS bigots and ulamas of late. Leave, before you rot.
Pputeh: These two men had the people and their constituents at heart. They acted with their brain and not with emotions. PAS can go fly kites. Be assured Saari and Hasnul, your act has endeared you to the people.
Even if you are expelled from PAS, you can still stand tall and join PKR and be voted in again. That would be a middle finger to the Terengganu PAS commissioner.
Victor Johan: Terengganu PAS commissioner Satiful Bahri Mamat, rather than to urge for these two noble state assemblypersons to be expelled from PAS membership, why don't you focus on understanding why PAS lost the state government in Terengganu to Umno?
Put your energy where it counts for the people who want to liberate themselves from the corrupt clutches of the Umno-BN regime. Indeed, these folks do not want to go 'from the frying pan into the fire'.
Rick Teo: The two PAS reps should just abandon PAS. The two have progressive vision and should join another party rather than be bogged down by a party that has no future.
Fair Play: Action speaks louder than words. Terengganu PAS, just do it. These two assemblypersons may remain as independent but Pakatan-friendly.
Unless and until you (PAS at the national level) learn to remain a true and loyal partner in the Pakatan coalition, more and more of your principled reps and MPs might leave to join either PKR or DAP.
And you will be forever consigned to be a fringe political party serving the hinterland of Malaysian politics.
Over50ABU: Yes, sack them, then they can join PKR. All those who go against Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim should also be expelled so that they can join PKR or start a new party.
PAS is a goner, a selfish party using religion just to benefit themselves.
Anonymous$&@? : PAS, it's not to your advantage to bring this issue up again. In fact, you should sanction Satiful Bahri (most probably an Umno sleeper cell) for trying to kill PAS in Selangor.
Maybe expel him from PAS instead to avoid the rot in PAS. Remove this cancer named Satiful Bahri.
Mat Salleh: It's so obvious that PAS was ready to jump into Umno's bed but for the gallant actions of these two heroes.
KnockKnock: Proactive and smart guys get acquitted because they outsmart the 'mousies'. The mousies are usually slaves to their masters - ask not, heads down. This is what political leaders term as "respect and loyal to masters".
UntaSenyum: Terengganu PAS and Kelantan PAS should confine their comments to local issues only.
In these two states, they only ding-dong among PAS leaders. They won't know what it means to be working as Pakatan partners with DAP and PKR, especially in multiracial states.
PAS should move away from the Malay heartland if they want to go into national politics.
Terengganu PAS is just slapping themselves in asking for the duo’s sacking. They are too far away to know that PAS supported Khalid when the latter disobeyed party directives, and now they want to sack the two for not following PAS directives (after agreeing not to support Khalid last Sunday)?
Korkor: PAS will be relegated to their rural areas if they ever listen to this leader. The situation became clear in the MB crisis after the two reps pledged their support, but now Satiful is still trying to stir the hornet's nest.
We shall see who will get the real 'sack' come GE14. Just you wait and see, Satiful.
I Wonder?: If PAS still wants trust from the people, its president Abdul Hadi Awang is the one who must be expelled for betraying the party's stand.
Liew Lean Kut: I think Hadi should be expelled instead of the two reps. Hadi lost Terengganu and Kedah while he was the president.
He went to see the Selangor sultan without telling his partners, DAP and PKR. He openly supported Khalid when PKR wanted to change Khalid as the MB. What sort of partner is that?
DAP and PKR never disputed the decision of PAS in selecting the late Azizan Abdul Razak as the MB of Kedah. In the end, Kedah was lost and Hadi should be held responsible for all those losses.
If there was a mistake then admit it, say sorry and move on. It is not wise to blame others. Expel the duo and you will make more people distrust PAS. Pakatan needs PAS to rule Malaysia.
SultanMydin: Because of all the PAS clerics who are only good at polemics, the Pakatan government led by PAS lost in Terengganu and Kedah after just serving one term.
Unlike PKR-led Selangor and DAP-led Penang, both retain power by winning higher votes and more seats. Go and reflect on that.
