'S'gor RM3bil reserves meaningless if not spent'

The Analyser: So, the Selangor RM3 billion excess is something to be proud of. Is it, PKR chief Wan Azizah Wan Ismail? Let me point out to you that the role of government is to collect money from taxpayers and use it to provide services and facilities for the taxpayers that would not normally be provided by commercial interests.

To accumulate such an excess is fraudulent use of taxpayer's money i.e. the bumbling incompetent MB and his government with the help of your husband Anwar Ibrahim, who is the Selangor economic adviser, has defrauded the taxpayers of Selangor.

Ong: I have lived in Selangor for well over 30 years and I can categorically say that where local government infrastructure is concerned, there has been absolutely no difference between BN and Pakatan.

It was in the dumps before, and is still in the dumps. PKR chief Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is absolutely correct. Having RM3 billion reserves is absolutely meaningless if not spent for the benefit of tax and ratepayers.

Hearty Malaysian: Was the RM3 billion reserved to buy over the water concessions and perhaps the unspent reserve too big and too attractive for all parties? The Selangor infrastructure and its services have not improved with Khalid's preoccupation to build the reserves.

Yes, spend the money to improve the lives of all Selangor people and the state economic competitiveness, Wan Azizah.

Anonymous_1406605362: As late as February this year you said there's no flaw in Selangor MB Abdul Khalid Ibrahim's administration and no reason for him to be replaced. In all your speeches, you had praised Khalid as the best MB there was. Why the change of attitude?

Is it because you are now the MB in waiting? Why is PAS and DAP speaking with PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim and not you, being president of PKR? That cause for concern that although you'll be the MB, it is Anwar who would call the shots.

Lynn Cheang : For those who think Kak Wan is dying to sit in the MB's chair for the money, please rethink. Read what Wong Chen, MP for Kelana Jaya has discovered and posted in his page on August 20.

I take the liberty to copy extracts of his posting here: "While I was looking after my daughter in hospital... in Desaria. Why is it that in every visit that I make, garbage is everywhere and the garbage bins are always full and foul smelling? What is wrong with the garbage collection? ...

"Last week, my volunteers attended a meeting chaired by Halimi, my councillor... Halimi asked the tough questions and slowly but surely the officers and operators explained to us the 'truth' about garbage collection...

"1) That rubbish collection is very poor in certain urban poor places due to a quota imposed by Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) of two tonnes of rubbish per day per operator per zone. 2) That this quota is a directive from the MB's Office with the intention of trying to save money for the state.... "

Atlantis: I am all for Wan Azizah as MB of Selangor. PAS, either you are with PKR or BN or alone. You have done much damage to the coalition. In my personal opinion I think you should not be in the Pakatan coalition as you cannot be trusted.

My Opinion: I will even support her to be the prime minister of Malaysia. Though perhaps not cleverer than former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad, but it is better to have an honest woman to be PM or MB who knows what is teamwork, than to have a crook and a dictator.

Azizah denies smear campaign against Khalid

Fairnsquare: The mainstream media called PKR's dossier a smear, but every honest citizen knew that Khalid was a rebel and rogue MB, with his own agenda at the expense of PKR. With the 'conviction' of Anwar, this rogue felt the had more powerful friends and even claimed to the sultan he had majority support in the state assembly.

Since he was manoeuvring politically, there will not be much the Malaysian Anti‑Corruption Commission (MACC) can do as corruption will be hard to prove. Wan Azizah is what Selangor needs and no doubt His Royal Highness will look into the interests of the state and not the under handed political manoeuvrer.

The 91 reasons put forth by PKR are factual and not a smear, as alleged by the pea‑brained.

Samurai: Khalid boasts himself a man of integrity and a corporate maverick, and if so, he should admit the dossier is nothing more than his performance report, which he has failed to justify.

To date we the people have not heard an iota of justification from the illegal MB as to why he feels Selangor would want him to stay.

Except say that he is in the midst of the water deal (any MB can continue it, it's not a Khalid-Putrajaya deal), and worse, that he is rightfully the MB as he is a man of integrity.

What kind of reason is that? Each time someone makes such a claim of himself, it only makes one wonder if it is not the opposite.

Justice Kini: Good that she has made it clear and We trust her words. Looks like Khalid is a double-edged sword and had show no respect to his president who had put him where he was. He has been non-cooperative and seen as one-man show.

Wanderer: Would Kak Wan need to do that, smear deranged lowlife? Khalid, you are the best person to answer that. Are you a gentleman politician or a recalcitrant pariah?
