Two cargo train wagons laden with cement jumped rails at Km321.75 near Kuala Kubu Baru station yesterday afternoon.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) corporate communications manager Siti  Badariah Wan Hanafi said the incident happened at 2.10pm when the train was on the way to Batu Caves.

“As a result of the derailment, the Rawang-Tanjung Malim commuter service will stop at Rawang station until Thursday (Sept 11) for repairs,” she said in a statement yesterday.

Only the route is affected while the KTM Intercity and ETS services run as usual. There were no injuries and KTMB is investigating the cause.
