An NGO lodged a report yesterday with the  Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) claiming corruption over the potential sale of some temple land by the Sri Subramaniyar Swamy Temple in Batu  Caves.
   

The 'Save Batu Caves Temple Action Body' said the would-be sale of the  1.6-hectare land was contained in the minutes of a meeting of the temple  committee.

   

Its spokesperson, M Manoharan, claimed that the temple committee, as the  trustee of the temple property, does not have the right to sell the assets to anyone for any  reason.

   

Manoharan said after handing the report to the MACC in Putrajaya that the NGO would  send a memorandum to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to seek the federal  government's assistance to resolve the issue.
