PAS Pengkalan Kubor by-election machinery director Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah said based on previous experiences, most ceramah during by-election campaigns will be disturbed by BN.
He said the Islamic party had to keep the location a secret for now to avoid the programme being cancelled due to "disturbance" from BN.
"Before this, if we told about the location, they will end up doing a ceramah next to us.
"Then the police will ask both the ceramah to be halted.
"We do not want that to happen," he said during a press conference at the PAS markas in Pengkalan Kubor.
The state by-election is being held following the death of Umno's Noor Zahidi Omar, 57, due to liver cancer on Aug 20.
In the last election, Noor Zahidi defeated PKR's Saharun Ibrahim and Independent candidate Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary with a majority of 1,736 votes.
