World number one Lee Chong Wei will not be intimidated by the prospect of facing Asian Games defending champion China in semifinals of the men's team event scheduled at the Gyeyang Gymnasium tomorrow.

Malaysia had beaten Nepal 3-0 in the quarterfinal with Chong Wei beating Nepal's Tamang Ratna Jit 21-10, 21-12 while Chong Wei Feng added the second point by beating Shrestha Bikash 21-10, 21-13 before Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin completing the rout after beating Tamrakar Sajan Krishna 21-3, 21-4.

China have won the Asian Games gold five times, namely in the 1976 edition in Tehran, Iran, 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, India, 1990 in Beijing, China,  2006 edition in Doha, Qatar and four years ago in Guangzhou, China.

"I feel China will not field their main player Lin Dan tomorrow because they have their own strategy," he told in Incheon today.

However, China would be cautious in their approach because the players representing the country are the same players who played in the 2014 Thomas Cup final in New Delhi, India. - Bernama
