The Terengganu government is looking into a suitable approach to allocate RM3 million in general aid to each of the 15 state constituencies under the opposition parties, said Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.
Currently, he said, the aid was channelled only to state constituencies under Barisan Nasional (BN).
“I think it is time to give this aid to state constituencies under the opposition because it is the responsibility of the state government to help the people.
“Only that, we have to look into how to distribute the fund to ensure the aid reaches the target group,” he told reporters after opening the Kuala Terengganu Umno delegates meeting today.
Also present was Kuala Terengganu Umno leader Mohd Sabri Alwi.
