On Sept 23, State Public Works, Rural and Regional Development Committee chairperson Hasni Mohammad, was reported as saying that the state government would make a decision on
increasing
water tariffs in the state at the latest by early next year.
Hasni said Syarikat Air Johor (SAJ) Holdings Sdn Bhd had proposed a hike of 20.2 percent but it was considered quite high and added that a 10 to 12 percent increase would be more reasonable considering the cost of living in the state.
