The MIC invites Malaysia’s multiracial society to its Deepavali open house at Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur, on Oct 22.

Its secretary-general, A Prakash Rao, said the party expects about 10,000 people to attend the open house to be held from 9am to 1pm.

Speaking to reporters in Kuala Lumpur today, Prakash said the function would also be attended by several guests-of-honour.

According to the Malaysia Hindu Sangam, Deepavali will be on Oct 22, in celebration of the triumph of good over evil.
