Thousands hit HK streets in fresh protests
Thousands of people gathered in Hong Kong's financial district today, resuming pro-democracy protests after the government called off talks with student leaders.
Beijing's Foreign Ministry condemned the fresh rally, with spokesperson Hong Lei saying, "China's central government is opposed to the illegal activities taking place in Hong Kong."
