The magistrate’s court in Balik Pulau yesterday fixed Nov 21 for case management of the trial of four individuals accused of causing public disturbance by going nude in public.

Magistrate Muhammad Najib Ismail set the date to enable the defence to obtain the necessary documents from the prosecution.

Chew Tok Hwa, 57, Chan Chin Weng, 27, and Teh Guan Hoon, 37, all women, and Kong Meng Leong, 38, have been released on a bail of RM4,000 each in one surety.

They allegedly committed the offence on May 30 at Pantai Teluk Kampi, Penang National Park in Teluk Bahang, between 3pm and 6pm.

Prosecuting officer Insp Wan Noraini Ahmad stood in for prosecution unit chief Razali Che Ani and deputy public prosecutor Edward Chan.

Teh was represented by counsel Jason Khor Jit Cheng and the rest by Gobind Singh Deo.
