Event aims to bridge gap between Muslims and dogs

Vijay47: While I wish you all the best for an event that does not require all the best from anyone, I must warn you, Syed Azmi Alhabshi, that you are not out of the woods yet and it ain't over till it's over.

Perkasa and Isma have not been having any issues lately over which to create a controversy, so your idea may be something sent to them from Dog Heaven.

Then, there is that other gentleman who might start doing a head count in Bandar Utama and barking at the nearest tree with one leg up in the air.

All these show where we are heading these days - from the porcine to the bovine to the canine, it is all equally asinine. And the fat lady has not even stopped singing! But yours is a touching tail.

Teh O!: In a radio drama, a young assassin by the name of Green Dragon was trained to assassinate his master's enemy. This Green Dragon was taught from young that killing is a holy thing that should be cultivated, and in the story Green Dragon kills many, and at last he killed his master, upon realising that his life is just that of a killer.

Tok karut: Well done, organisers! Ask them if their favourite animal show is Dog Whisperer. I am surprised at the Selangor Islamic Affairs Council (Mais), although I beg to differ that touching a dog requires cleansing but will take that up at another time. May the dogs suffer less torture from uninformed Muslims. Ameen.

Seno: Syed Azmi, you are the type of people  I used to have around the neighbourhood. Not many, nowadays.

YUNoAnon: Noble and humane gesture. All the best to you, Syed Azmi. Dog lovers and animal lovers in general will appreciate the effort you're putting into this. Hope it all goes well without a hitch.

Negarawan: Very interesting event that will help to bridge the gap of misunderstanding and mistreatment of dogs, a wonderful creature of God. They don't get called "man's best friend" for nothing. Syabas to saudara Syed Azmi for this groundbreaking event!

Apa Ini?: Don't care much for dogs myself, but it is uplifting to hear that this very sensible young Malay man is taking the initiative to show fellow Muslims in particular that Islam does not outcast dogs. Well done, Azmi!

Mano: If the Almighty created dogs, He must be loving them as He loves us humans as well. Never, never understood the logic of dogs being dirty. The only dirty souls are those who cheat the rakyat of their money.

Ku Li: OSA conceals thousands of sins

Lamborghini: Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (Ku Li), every now and then , when speaking at some forum, you let off some steam about the seamy government controlled by the corrupt party you are still in.

If there are hidden thousands of sins, widespread corruption and abuse of power that has caused billions of dollars of the rakyat's hard earned money to be wasted, why are you still not angry and why are you still shouting from inside the glass house?

Why don't you come out and help the country get rid of corrupt politicians and abuse of power, instead of letting off some steam every now and then in a 'concerned " tone? Talk is indeed cheap, not matter how noble-sounding

Jefflim118: Good men always carry out their tasks with high integrity. But currently, our country is very very extremely short of good men.

The evil ones are using all kind of biased Acts to steal and plunder the people's monies. Anyway, they and their generations to come will face the Almighty God, eventually, because they have misused the trust given by the people.

Mushiro: Everyone knows what is wrong with the nation. Enough of advice. Someone like Tengku Razaleigh should tell us how to solve it, or better still he should lead the move.

So, what is this secretive story about unless there is corruption? Even for defence expenditure, the public accounts committee (PAC) should have access to it. Where is the transparency? Walk the talk.

Real Truth: We all know how cronies are created and if we had prudent conduct from top to bottom, we would be a much wealthy nation and would have sufficient wealth accumulation. We could even lower our income tax.

Because of abundance of corruption and cronyism from the era of Dr Mahathir Mohamad, we are still reeling with its adverse effects. Oops, I forgot! I may be charged under the Sedition Act.

CiViC: It's the same. Those who are sidelined will voice out, but if given the same power, they, too, will swear by these acts.

Middle path: How many such as Ku Li do we still have in Umno, I wonder? How many have the principle and the guts to speak up, despite knowing it is wrong and unjust?

The Finance Ministry is just one. Many, many other departments and agencies, including law enforcement and the judiciary, to name a few, need to be overhauled. Best quote, "Not your father’s or mother's money."

Ronald: This is your biggest problem, always ambivalent in your views. As you said, “I am not angry with the government but this is the weakness in our system because we abuse the existing powers.”

Who is the government? Who is abusing their powers? If not the Umno-dominated government, then who? Come on Ku Li, call a spade a spade. You are a national leader whom many of us had high expectations of. No longer.

Snake-in-the-grass: Sssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Keep quiet lah... SECRET, you know! Please carry on stealing and plundering, even with thundering noise, as the people are quite stone deaf. Roof collapse also donno, passport missing also donno, kidneys stolen also donno, and the soul defiled, also donno.
