PARLIAMENT The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on the Sabah illegal immigrants issue has been been completed and will be tabled soon, Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today.

Zahid said either he or the chairperson of the commission will table the report, which is long overdue as RCI finished its hearings in Kota Kinabalu almost a year ago.

He said this when responding to a supplementary question on stateless children by Marcus Mojigoh (BN-Putatan) during question time in Parliament today.

Zahid said the solution to the widespread problems of the stateless and immigrants in Sabah is stated in the final report.

"The solution to this problem is in the RCI, and if it is not politicised, we can solve it," he said.

He said the government does not know the exact figure of those who are in the state undocumented, as they are not registered and do not show up in official statistics.
