Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad (Plus) is to close the George Town to Bayan Lepas stretch of the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway from 9am to 1.30pm on Tuesday to facilitate an emergency exercise.

Plus said in a statement today that the exercise, organised by Plus, the Penang Hospital and other relevant authorities, was aimed at gauging the effectiveness and efficiency of rescue teams during emergencies on the expressway.

It advised highway users to abide by the instructions of Plus and the police at that stretch.
