The Ampang Jaya Municipal Copuncil (MPAJ) is offering a RM30 reduction for each parking offence compound in the Ampang Jaya administration area to vehicle owners with compound arrears.

MPAJ acting president Abdul Hamid Hussain said the month-long campaign, which will end on Nov 29 this year, was a continuation of the campaign to collect compound fines implemented by the MPAJ last year.

“The special offer of RM30 should not be missed as it will, to a certain extent, ease the burden of owners who have a lot of compound arrears,” he said in a statement in Kuala Lumpur today.

He said that last year up to now, the MPAJ had RM1.5 million in compound arrears owed by vehicle owners.

Abdul Hamid pointed out that the MPAJ would initiate court action and issue warrants of arrest against parking offenders who had yet to settle their compound arrears after the expiry of the campaign.

He said checks and payment of compounds could be made at the fourth floor lobby, Menara MPAJ, or the MPAJ mobile counters, the MPAJ branch office in Taman Melawati and Kompleks Muhibbah Taman Nirwana.

In addition, compounds can also be paid online at http://icomm. mpaj.gov.my .
