Residents in several districts of Hilir Perak will experience water supply disruption from 8am to 11pm tomorrow.

According to a Perak Water Board (LAP) statement today, water supply will be cut or experience low pressure due to works to connect a main pipe at the 2nd Mile, Jalan Changkat Jong, Teluk Intan.    

“The affected areas are Teluk Intan town centre including Jalan Changkat Jong to the junction of Jalan Kampung Bahagia, Jalan Maharajalela to the junction of Jalan Padang Tembak and a section of Jalan Sultan Abdullah,” the statement said.

Other areas facing water supply disruption are Kampung Bahagia to Sungai Manik including Kampung Sungai Kerawai. Also affected by the disruption are Jalan Hutan Melintang from Batu Lima to Hutan Melintang town including Simpang Empat, Sungai Durian including Sungai Rubana, Tapak Semenang, Tanjung Sari, Matang Guntung and Teluk Birah.

The water supply cut will also be experienced in Hutan Melintang, Teluk Buluh, Jalan Sungai Samak, Teluk Bahru, Sungai Dulang, Selekoh, Rungkup and Bagan Datoh.

As such, LAP is advising the people in the affected areas to store sufficient water for the period.
