Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin was this morning denied entry from entering Sarawak by immigration

She was turned back by after touching down at Kuching International Airport.

Zuraida in a Twitter posting uploaded a photograph of herself dealing with immigration officers.

"Deportation proceeding with Tuan Johny - (he said) I'm sorry, I have to carry out instructions," she said in a posting.

When quizzed by netizens why she was being deported, Zuraida replied: "No reason (given)".

However, she concurred with netizens on taking legal action against immigration authorities.

This is the second time Zuraida is being barred from Sarawak.

The PKR Wanita chief was on March 27 also blocked from entering the state after arriving in Sibu.

Meanwhile, PKR Wanita vice chief Tan Poh Lai ( right ) condemned Zuraida's deportation.

"This is not the first time she has been denied entry and no proper explanation has been given by the authorities," she said in a statement.

Tan added the move appear to be a bid to deter PKR from making inroads in Sarawak ahead of the state polls which must be called before 2016.

"I urge BN to fight fairly and not misuse or abuse their powers to silence the opposition. The people have a right to hear from both sides and make informed decisions themselves," she said.
