A mild earth movement was reported to have occurred yesterday afternoon near a house in the Taman Bukti housing area in Seremban.

Seremban Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Mustaza Sairan said, following a call from the house owner at 2.41pm, an eight-person team in a fire engine went to the scene.

He said based on reports, mild earth movement in the vicinity of the single-storey house had been a recurring feature over the last three days.

“However, when the house owner noticed the increase in the earth movement activity, he reported the matter to us,” he told Bernama .

Mustaza said an inspection revealed the distance between the earth movement and the rear of the house was about three metres, adding that the situation was under control.

“We will work with the police and the Seremban Town Council for further action,” he said.
