Umno may probe delegates who raised sensitive issues during the recent general assembly despite being warned not to do so.

When quizzed on this, party secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor failed to provide a definite answer.

"We will look into the matter, we will see," he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur.

Prior to last week's assembly, the federal territories minister had cautioned delegates against raising issues related to race and religion.

However, some delegates ignored the warning and drew flak and slew of police reports for their comments.

On another matter, Tengku Adnan also said the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on the presence of foreigners proved that the government is transparent and does not grant citizenship to immigrants.

"We have disclosed.... where do we give citizenship as we like," he added.

Therefore, the minister said the people must understand and not politicise the issue.

The report, released yesterday, cleared the government and political parties of involvement in what is called 'Project IC' in Sabah.
