Umno has spawned a Frankenstein in Perkasa

YOURSAY ‘Ex-EC chief is now against the Malays he illegally helped put in power.’

Stop lying to the rakyat, ex-EC chief tells Najib

Vijay47: Like every sanctimonious fake in Malaysia, Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman, who incredibly was once the chairperson of the Election Commission (EC) no less, wants us to believe that he comes with no baggage, ever driven by concern for king, country and Islam.

Such proclamations are mantras straight from former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad's current bestseller ‘Trying to Con a Nation’. While perhaps only God can confirm the veracity of Abdul Rashid's remark that he "did not steal others' money", he is guilty of a far greater crime, that of robbing our country of our democratic foundation.

This shameless man now dares to suggest that he was guided by patriotic principles when the real truth is that he manipulated the EC to serve his master's needs. Without fail, all these people will mention their Islam, implying that they are paragons of moral upright conduct when the reality is otherwise.

Abdul Rashid, your promotion, which you crow about, was simply a reward for villainous work well done. You have nothing to be proud about.

Slumdog: Perkasa vice-president Abdul Rashid, can you please enlighten us on your role in perfecting the electoral gerrymandering to ensure that Umno and its component parties return to power?

Did you ensure a fair, unbiased and transparent electoral system during your time as EC chief?

Mushiro: If Abdul Rashid is an example of Perkasa's “hundreds of eminent Malays” then I believe it is better to call them “hundreds of rotten Malays”.

It is pathetic to see Abdul Rashid praising himself as obviously no one has praised him before. Claiming that he has no baggage as he does not steal others' money, Rashid's national crime was that he helped Umno steal this country in the general elections, resulting in billions of ringgit of the rakyat's money being stolen and embezzled.

And now Abdul Rashid is going against the same Malays he illegally helped put in power.

Odin: According to Google translation, “memaki” means “(to) abuse”. Since this disgusting specimen of the human race has joined Perkasa so that he can “abuse” people, it shows very clearly his despicable character, a living thing under the zoological category animal that we would describe as vermin.

Speaking of which, one ceases to wonder how Malaysia has degenerated into a failed state when pests such as this one once held important positions in government.

He might not have stolen other people's money as he has claimed, but surely he has commandeered the election processes to favour those he was subservient to. That is no lesser a crime than stealing.

Nevertheless, we thank this man for publicly calling Najib a liar; and since the latter is beyond any doubt a prevaricator - among his many other nauseating traits - he, naturally, will say or do nothing in protestation.

Bamboo: Perkasa is the monster that was supported by Umno, which is now out of control. It is like the Talibans who were supported by United States against Russia, and continue to be a menace in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Now Perkasa is aiming to replace Umno to rule the country. A scary situation. But I guess they won’t succeed with their president and vice-president having lost in Malay-majority areas in GE13.

Anonymous_3e86: See how daring these chameleons have become? Previously, they heaped praises on PM Najib Razak. But today, after the moderates have spoken, people like Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali and Abdul Rashid have come out to attack Najib.

All these speeches and blame game indicate that Najib's time is up. The writing is not just on the wall, it's already etched on the wall.

Astounded: Abdul Rashid, fancy you calling others liar and dishonest when you yourself was involved in gerrymandering when drawing up the electoral boundaries.

What a racist when you are supposed to be independent and impartial when serving as EC chief.

Headhunter: Indeed, if Abdul Rashid is honest and has the rakyat's interest at heart, he should expose how the EC helped BN cheat in past elections.

Otherwise, it's all political posturing and trying to be a hero that he is not, due to his past record as EC chairperson.

Peacemaker: Abdul Rashid is the last person who should be admonishing others about their lack of honesty and their lying habits. I remember that the same man had lied to the Malaysian people on numerous occasions while he wore the hat as EC chief.

Paper Lama: Abdul Rashid, before you attempt to be hero, can you please come out and tell Malaysians the truth about the workings of EC during your tenure as the chairperson?

When you joined Perkasa in 2013, you have admitted that the EC has never lived up to its constitutional responsibility. Can you tell us more about this?

Lamps: I cannot believe the former EC chairperson is in Perkasa.

The EC is suppose to be fair and non-partisan but its former head is now a member of an extremist organisation. Unbelievable!
