Two tigers escaped Taiping Zoo this morning but were caught within hours.

One was caught using tranquilisers, Star Online reported citing unnamed sources.

According Oriental Daily, one was caught in the zoo, while the other near Taiping lake.

The zoo has since been reopened to the public.
