PM's rushing back because DPM can't be trusted?

YOURSAY ‘Trust a minister who says he is Malay first and Malaysian second?’

Don't worry, I’m in charge, says Muhyiddin

Oh Ya?: How could people trust DPM Muhyiddin Yassin, and for that matter all the ruling elite, when he is actually not defending his boss but trying to do one up on him.

In any event, there is nothing to defend PM Najib Razak anyway. If he is really that hardworking and cares for the rakyat, he shouldn't be golfing with US President Barack Obama and enjoying his year-end holidays as usual when his countrymen are suffering the worst floods in a decade.

Swot Strategist: Trust a minister who has publicly and proudly promoted himself as Malay first and Malaysian second?

As education minister, he had been directly responsible in bringing the destruction of a deserving good quality education system in Malaysia.

Mushiro: Yes, the PM has worked very hard. We have to be fair to him. He's a human being too, but why go overseas so often?

And why bring his whole family along for shopping? This is a private holiday, why did the PM use the government jet?

Muhyiddin should know by now that Najib does not trust Muhyiddin. Of course, Najib knows that Muhyiddin is trying to take over from Najib.

Anonymous_40f4: Najib was born with a golden spoon in his mouth. He lived a luxurious life, so how do you expect him to wade into the dirty flood waters.

He prefers playing golf in Hawaii. He will return soon and the media will run a pathetic propaganda for him to fool the rakyat.

Wira: The PM of Taiwan resigned for underestimating the disastrous effect of a typhoon. What can our PM do?

For one thing, he can be here with the rakyat when so many are suffering. He can take his holiday another day.

Negarawan: “I am in charge, don’t worry. Have trust in me.” Muhyiddin said. Muhyiddin does not know what he is talking about.

People have lost trust in the Umno-BN government. Why was there nothing urgently done to evacuate the Kuala Krai Hospital patients and caregivers?

Muhyiddin has messed up the education system single handedly. PT3 (Form Three Assessment) was a disaster with many rural schools having less than 15-20 percent of pass rate. Even top schools are in a state of shock with poor results.

Many deserving students have been demoralised because of unexpectedly bad results, despite good and consistent performance in school exams.

The PT3 system has created a higher level of stress for both students and teachers with disproportionate benefits. I wonder why there has been no media coverage on the serious issues with PT3.

Muhyiddin, please do not spoil the future of young Malaysians, while you and your Umno colleagues send your own children to private schools. Sorry for the topic diversion, but I think PT3 needs a review.

'Help flood victims instead of protesting'

Pemerhati: Muhyddin said, “Both in terms of economy and race relations, there are challenging times ahead. We have to find solutions to our problems by sitting down and working together.”

The economic problems are mainly caused by the BN leaders because they and their cronies wasted billions of the people’s money annually through various crooked methods such as overpriced negotiated contracts and purchases.

Umno uses its paid subsidiaries like Isma and Perkasa to deliberately create racial tension by making incendiary statements so as to polarise the various ethnic groups.

Umno does this because it feels that it can continue to remain in power by using this classic ‘divide and rule’ strategy.

Thus the simple solution for all Malaysians, who wish to have a better economy and wish to see harmonious relationship between all the ethnic groups, is to get rid of Umno and BN in the next elections.

Cocomomo: Mr DPM, understand this is the worst flood in Malaysian history. Floods happen every year. What has the federal government done to be ready for such disasters?

What is being done? Is the government concerned about the welfare of the rakyat? Or is the need to create racial and religious issues more important for political purposes?

Ksn: Muhyiddin, addressing race relations is actually simple - just get rid of the extremists among us.

Then tell the country and the extremists and those who think likewise in no uncertain terms that our constitution is supreme and that it is the government responsibility is to ensure that all adhere to those stipulations. Simple or not, Muhyiddin?

As to who are the extremists, you know - or should know - who they are. So please don’t tell the country it is a challenging job.
