The sentence was delivered by judge Mohamad Haldar Abdul Aziz in a sessions court in Johor today, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission said in a statement.
Naseer Sharaf, 36, was charged with bribing the corporal to avoid action for abuse of his work permit at Jalan Besar Teluk Ramunia, Kampung Punggai, yesterday.
The textile trader did not have legal representation.
