Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak decided to ride on the LRT today in order to monitor the public transportation system in Kuala Lumpur.

Posting his experience on Twitter , he said: "Saw many people choosing public transportation. Good."

As usual, the responses were divided, with some praising him and others ridiculing the prime minister.

There was also a particular user who asked if LRT would provide separate coaches for women, as practiced by KTM.

The more critical Twitter users called on Najib to ride the train during peak hours to get a real experience.

A user with the handle @timothydavid5 said: " Naik lar hari-hari! Especially pagi-pagi rush hours! Dan lihat keperitan pengguna-pengguna LRT. (Ride the train daily, especially in the mornings during rush hour and see how the commuters suffer)."

Another user, Ranjeeta Kaur, tweeted: "I'm sure the 'ever-efficient' train did not break down when our PM was on-board."

On the harsher side, user 'aven fauzi' took a dig at the prime minister’s wife, Rosmah Mansor.

"What a coincidence! Me too (ride the train). Now, tell your wife don't spend too much money on herself and improve the public transport," he tweeted.
