YOURSAY ‘Good for you, Ku Nan, for making such strong comments.’

Ku Nan slams Perkasa for temple instigation

Anonymous_1391693662: Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, whether your intention is genuine or not, it doesn't matter.

All Malaysians should adopt such attitude. The Hindus are definitely proud to have such a grand temple in Putrajaya.

This will also give an additional boost to tourism. Let’s make Malaysia truly Asia.

Imanust Nais Yalam: Tengku Adnan's (Ku Nan) standing up against Perkasa's hate message is commendable. This is what moderate Malay Muslims ought to do, regardless of their political affiliation. Kudos.

MinahBulat: Ku Nan, as far as the Hindus are concerned, the temple is open to all, including Muslims.

Forgive Perkasa and Isma, they are worried that by entering a Hindu temple, they will lose their Islamic faith and become Hindu.

Their fear is real and this is because they are weak in their religion. Ku Nan, on the opening of the temple, you will be invited and I am sure the temple committee will treat you with a fine vegetarian lunch.

Garland will definitely be included and you will be taken inside to see the architecture and all the deities of the Hindu pantheon. I bet you will still be a Muslim after this.

Doc: I strongly think that Perkasa and Isma should get off their butts and take out Ku Nan for supporting the pendatangs’ plan to build a temple in Putrajaya.

I am disgusted at Perkasa’s and Isma's lackadaisical response in not sticking up for Malay supremacy.

Mob1900: This is a case of lighting up a fire and trying to put it out himself. Everyone knows who Perkasa truly works for. You're not fooling anyone, Ku Nan.

Basically: Ku Nan must have a reason why he is suddenly so supportive of this one temple in Putrajaya. I smell a rat.

How much does it cost and who's paying for it? What about building more temples in other places in Federal Territories, Ku Nan?

Fairnsquare: We need to stand by Ku Nan when he does the right thing.

If this is Umno's stand, we must also support it if we want to see the party taking a more moderate stand. Let us not criticise them when the right decisions are made.

Dont Just Talk: Good for you, Ku Nan, for making such strong comments supporting the building of the Hindu temple in Putrajaya.

You are right, having a Hindu temple in Putrajaya does not turn the entire population there into Hindus.

Of late, there are very positive signs that Umno Baru leaders/members are walking the talk to speak up boldly on issues raised by Perkasa and Isma.

Keep it up and the non-Malays might return to BN.

Dizzer: I don't know about the Hindu statues but I'd have thought that having a library in the temple would be enough to scare away Isma and Perkasa.

After all, there's only one book they need to read.

Taib Mahmud declines chance to explain wealth

Victor Johan: Sarawak governor Abdul Taib Mahmud, instead of attempting to stop the sales of the book, the onus is on you to prove your innocence.

You wouldn't shamelessly want to go on with your life until exposed, the way how Ferdinand Marcos and Suharto were, right?

The rakyat will eventually do what's required of them, and in big numbers. Your family too may not be spared. Rethink for your and their sake.

Kangkung: Taib was allowed to accumulate as much as wealth as he wanted as long as he delivered the parliamentary seats to make sure Umno stayed in power.

Without Taib, the Umno government is long gone. Umno had no choice to but let Taib to have a free hand at totally decimating Sarawak's environment.

And now he is the governor, and pulling the strings from behind, the destruction of Sarawak's rainforests continues.

MingXiang: Tell them, Taib, what you told us on TV. Tell them how with part of your gratuity your daughter - shrewd business woman that she is - and your son-in-law, invested the money and within a few short years made billions.

Your daughter should write a book entitled ‘How to be a Billionaire within Two Short Years’. That should be a better seller than ‘Money Logging’.

Axolotl: Truth be told, if all the richest families on earth were to explain how they accumulated so much power and wealth, they would (in 95 percent of the cases) surely incriminate themselves.
